| Keeping Up With Jerrod |
|
Tuesday 22 December 2010 Wow, time flies! I can't believe it's been over a month since I did the first Jerrod update. Well, the biggest news is that yesterday, Jerrod finally signed all the paperwork and closed on the house purchase. So 2681 Hwy C is officially under the name Jerrod Keller! It's very exciting! We've been talking about it for so long, and it's finally happened! This house has belonged in the Keller family for generations. In fact, the property has was purchased into the family in the mid 1800s. The house is old and needs a lot of maintenance. Many may hear my complain about it, but I really do like it here. It's the perfect size and location for us. It's a three bedroom and 1.5 bath cape cod. We have a perfect view of the sun rising over Lake Michigan each morning. My only complaint of the property would be that we share a lot line with the St. Vinny's parking lot. But it's convenient when I need something or, even better, have a load of things to get rid of. We also get to watch people freak out about the chickens randomly walking through the parking lot. So he has a long "honey-do" list, but we make a good team and usually get things done together... when we make time for it!
Other than the house, Jerrod hasn't been up to much else. At least, nothing out of the ordinary. He got out ice fishing for the first time this past weekend. He's usually the first crazy one out on the fresh ice. Work slows down for him in the winter. He works unpredictable hours when the snow comes. The past few snowfalls, he was getting up for work when I was going to bed. And when he'd get home from plowing, my alarm would be going off so I could get ready for my workday. It's not easy, but we're use to it. Right now we are working on redecorating the half bath, which entails peeling wallpaper and scraping decades and decades of different colored paint.
That's all for now. We are trying to decide what to have for dinner. This could take a while ;)

Deer hunting is this weekend. But I'm not sure if he's going Up North. He still hasn't decided. Even if he stays home, he won't be able to stay out of the woods. With the majority of his family going Up North, he'll have plenty of places to choose from. He's preparing himself for Winter. Work is steady right now, and keeping him busy. However, when the snow flies, his hours are very unpredictable. |
